Vintage Yastik Turkish Rug
Yastik means “cushion” in Turkish, and that’s how these little rugs started out: as pillow covers and cushion faces woven in village homes across Anatolia. Weavers often used wool left over from bigger rugs, which is why so much color and pattern gets packed into such a small space. You’ll see hooked medallions, ram’s horn shapes, and soft color shifts from wool dyed in small batches. They’re the right size for a bathroom, a bedside, an entryway, or the spot in front of the kitchen sink.
Size: 3'8 x 1'10
Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation
All rugs have been professionally cleaned and restored. Age related wear and patina are considered normal. Items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle.
Rugs have been photographed in moderate to bright natural light. Colors may vary depending on the amount of light in your space or due to your phone/screen settings.
Vacuum on low with the brush roller off. Spot clean with warm water and mild soap when life happens. Professional clean as needed.
