Vintage Heriz Persian Rug
This is a big one, and the colors have softened into raspberry, blush pink, cocoa brown, and a soft sage that almost reads as gray-blue. A large stepped medallion fills the middle, outlined in cream and sage, with the inside packed with little flowers and leaf shapes in brown and pink. Heriz weavers drew everything in bold, angular lines, even the vines and blossoms, and that’s why the pattern holds up so well from across a big room. Cream corners with chunky leaves and hooks frame the medallion at each end. A wide brown border with big pink-and-sage rosettes wraps around the whole thing. Decades of use have faded the colors in a really lovely way, and the pile is still thick enough to feel good under your feet. It’s sized to anchor a living room or go under a large dining table.
Size: 13'2 x 9'9
Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation
All rugs have been professionally cleaned and restored. Age related wear and patina are considered normal. Items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle.
