No medallion here: this one is all tiny diamonds, hundreds of them, in denim blue, mustard, olive, peach, coral, sage, and cream, each outlined in thin dark brown. There’s no strict color order, so it reads like a patchwork quilt, and every time you look you spot a new little run of reds or greens. Grid designs like this are an old village favorite. They were easy to weave from memory, and a great way to use up small amounts of leftover wool, which is why no two squares in a row quite match. A navy border full of tiny cream four-petal flowers frames it all, with a dusty pink edge wrapped along the sides.
