Vintage Hamadan Persian Runner
Three peachy-apricot diamond medallions run down the center of this runner, each with hooked edges and a small navy panel in the middle. They’re joined by a pole that ends in chunky anchor shapes at both ends. The background is a soft inky navy that shifts into deep chocolate near the bottom, which happens when the weaver starts a new batch of dyed wool partway through. It’s one of our favorite things about Hamadan village rugs. The open spaces are filled with tiny flowers, little squiggles, and stepped squares in peach, brown, and teal, and mauve corners frame each end. A cream border with a brown flowering vine wraps around the whole thing, and the soft, muted colors make it easy to fit into almost any room.
Size: 9'5 x 3'3
Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation
All rugs have been professionally cleaned and restored. Age related wear and patina are considered normal. Items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle.
Rugs have been photographed in moderate to bright natural light. Colors may vary depending on the amount of light in your space or due to your phone/screen settings.
Vacuum on low with the brush roller off. Spot clean with warm water and mild soap when life happens. Professional clean as needed.
