Vintage Anatolian Turkish Runner
Little flower sprigs grow out of both ends of the medallion on this runner, like the whole design is blooming toward the edges. The center is a cream hexagon outlined in soft teal, with a branching cross inside made of hooked arms in wine-red and blue. Anatolian weavers often used hooks and branches like these as good-luck symbols, and they’d leave plenty of open space around them so the shapes really pop. The wine background steps out into teal panels covered in tiny cream-and-red dots, which gives the rug a nice texture up close.
