Vintage Hamadan Persian Rug

Hot pink, cobalt, and teal pop against cherry red and black on this one, so it has a lot of energy. A black diamond fills the center, covered in little pink rosettes, eight-pointed stars, and blue hand-like shapes. Inside it, a red medallion with sawtooth edges holds even more tiny florals and a small diamond right in the middle. The red corners are scattered with odd little extras like checkered squares, stars, and arrow shapes. Hamadan-area weavers often tossed in whatever caught their eye, which keeps the design feeling loose and personal.
