No. 1862 | 11'1 x 2'8

Vintage Kurdish Turkish Runner

Every medallion on this runner is a different color combo: soft pink and aqua at the top, then black and mustard, cream and cobalt, slate gray and teal, and finally a bright tangerine one at the bottom with a lime-green center. They’re spaced down a warm brick-red background, with little sprigs and leaves in hot pink, lime, purple, and orange tossed around them. Kurdish weavers in eastern Turkey loved mixing bright accent colors into their rugs, and they often changed up each medallion as they went, so nothing repeats exactly. The border is a row of tiny checkerboard squares in every color in the rug, framed by dark brown edges. The pile is thick and springy, and the whole thing is cheerful enough to brighten up a plain hallway.
