Vintage Anatolian Turkish Rug

Five little green medallions sit in the middle of this rug, linked into a cross by hot-pink lines, on a warm camel background. Around them you’ll find blue tree-like sprigs, lavender-and-cream stars, and small green flowers on skinny stems, all drawn loosely enough that it feels more like a garden than a grid. The camel is shaped like a big stepped diamond with a zigzag edge of pink, cream, and black, and the green corners are dotted with little eight-pointed stars. The green shifts from minty to deeper teal, which happens when the wool was dyed in separate small batches. A chocolate-brown border with chunky crosses and pinwheel flowers frames it all.
