Vintage Ardebil Persian Rug
This vintage rug has a cherry-red background with a column of big tan-and-mint stars running down the middle, with small red diamonds tucked between them. Those chunky, hooked shapes are called Lesghi stars. They come from the Caucasus, just over the border from Ardebil, and weavers there picked them up and made them their own. The rest of the red is scattered with little flowers and crosses in blue, olive, and cream, so there's always something new to spot. A wide teal border with big pink-and-cream flowers frames it all, and the wool has light, even wear that keeps it soft without looking tired.
Size: 5'3 x 3'9
Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation
All rugs have been professionally cleaned and restored. Age related wear and patina are considered normal. Items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle.
Rugs have been photographed in moderate to bright natural light. Colors may vary depending on the amount of light in your space or due to your phone/screen settings.
Vacuum on low with the brush roller off. Spot clean with warm water and mild soap when life happens. Professional clean as needed.
