Vintage Heriz Persian Rug

Bright cherry red fills most of this rug, with ivory corners full of little flowers and branches. The medallion in the middle is a big star shape outlined in navy, with curly hooks, blue zigzags, and a deep red flower right at the center. Heriz rugs come from a cluster of villages near Tabriz, where weavers turned even the flowers and vines into chunky, angular shapes, which is why the whole design feels bold and a bit graphic. The navy border carries big rosettes and saw-tooth leaves in blue, pink, and cream. The pile is still thick and plush, and the colors are rich and saturated.
