Vintage Hamadan Persian Rug

A warm brown field sets off a pale blush diamond with sawtooth edges. Inside it, a second brown lozenge is outlined in blue and anchored by an ivory eight-pointed star. Small octagons in blue, green, and rose are scattered across the field, the kind of loose, freehand fill you see in Hamadan village weaving, where designs were often worked from memory.
