Vintage Lori Persian Rug
A deep indigo field grounds this piece, scattered edge to edge with an all-over repeat of stylized botanical clusters in camel, dusty rose, and slate-blue — that loose, freehand distribution of motifs across a dark field, without a formal central medallion, is typical of Lori weaving. Small diamond and star forms scatter between the larger botanical clusters, keeping the composition dense but not rigid. A multi-band border in matching indigo and camel, edged with a bright orange pencil stripe, frames the piece with real graphic punch. At 9'5" x 6'8", hand-knotted in wool on a cotton foundation, this one is younger than most of what typically comes through — 30-35 years old — with excellent color saturation and a visible abrash across the field that comes from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool.
