A deep brick-red field runs the length of this narrow runner, built around a stacked column of angular star medallions in ivory, black, and warm terracotta — that crisp, sawtooth geometry rendered entirely in straight lines and triangular forms is characteristic of Herki weaving, produced by this Kurdish tribal group along the mountainous Turkey-Iraq-Iran border region.
