Vintage Turkish Tribal Runner, Central/Eastern Anatolia, Mid-20th Century
This narrow runner comes out of the tribal weaving traditions of central or eastern Anatolia, where small-format pieces like this were typically made for hallways, tents, or narrow domestic spaces rather than as a central room rug. The scattered eight-pointed star motifs in blush pink, mustard, and cream against a warm terracotta ground are a classic tribal device, often carrying protective or symbolic meaning passed down through weaving families rather than a formal workshop pattern. The wool has a nice rustic, low-pile hand to it, with color and pattern holding up well despite visible age and everyday wear.
Size: 2'7 x 8'11 (width is 2’5 on one end and 2’9 on the other)
