Vintage Anatolian Runner, Turkey, Mid-20th Century

This narrow runner uses a diamond-lattice trellis layout — a design tradition found across several weaving regions in Turkey, where the field breaks into a repeating grid of small diamond compartments rather than a central medallion. Warm rust, terracotta, and dusty mauve tones dominate, with each little diamond holding its own tiny geometric motif, giving the whole piece a busy, almost textile-like rhythm up close. The wool has a soft, slightly fuzzy hand consistent with age, and wear is even across the piece with good color retention throughout.
