Vintage Anatolian Turkish Rug, Turkey, circa Mid-20th Century

A dusty mauve-pink field carries this piece, built around a grey hexagonal medallion with a small golden rosette at its center — the cool grey-and-mauve palette is a less common but appealing combination within Anatolian village weaving, giving it a softer, more muted presence than the bolder reds typical of the region. Diamond and cross motifs scatter loosely through the field around the medallion, while an ivory outer border carries a repeating geometric pattern in yellow and grey that echoes the interior tones.
