Vintage Malayer Persian Rug
A deep indigo field carries this piece, scattered edge to edge with flowering sprays, rosettes, and small botanical forms in warm camel and dusty rose rather than a central medallion — an open, all-over field arrangement characteristic of Malayer weavers working outside a strict formal cartoon. A woven date cartouche sits within the field, a detail occasionally included by village weavers to mark the piece's completion. The rich rust-camel border carries a repeating palmette and rosette pattern that plays warm against the cool navy ground, giving the whole rug strong visual contrast.
Size: 8'4 x 4'10
Material: Wool pile on cotton foundation
All rugs have been professionally cleaned and restored. Age related wear and patina are considered normal. Items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle.
Rugs have been photographed in moderate to bright natural light. Colors may vary depending on the amount of light in your space or due to your phone/screen settings.
Vacuum on low with the brush roller off. Spot clean with warm water and mild soap when life happens. Professional clean as needed.
