Hand-knotted wool on wool foundation, hailing from the Hamadan weaving region of Northwest Iran. Features a bold cross-shaped medallion in brick red with a jagged, stepped outline, set against a dense charcoal field scattered with folk-art florals and rosettes. Framed by a cornflower-blue border with repeating floral motifs. Rich, natural-dye palette of red, indigo, and cream.

The slightly asymmetric, hand-drawn quality of the pattern reflects genuine village weaving tradition — patterns passed down and worked from memory rather than a formal cartoon, as seen in city workshop rugs. Good pile with age-appropriate wear; a wonderful example of authentic tribal/village craftsmanship.
