Vintage Hamadan Persian Rug

An inky black field anchors this piece, densely packed with small florals, botanical sprays, and paired animal figures surrounding a bold red medallion set with a small central rosette — that combination of a dark ground fully saturated with pattern and a distinct red medallion is characteristic of the Bibikabad weaving villages within the greater Hamadan region. The medallion itself has a scalloped, almost architectural edge, giving it real presence against the busier black field around it.

Size: 5'2 × 7’4

Pile: 100% Wool
