A rich aubergine field runs the full length of this piece, packed edge to edge with small geometric boxes, feathered leaf forms, and stylized birds in mustard, blush, and slate-blue — that dense, freehand micro-pattern with no central medallion is typical of Kurdish weaving, where an all-over field of small motifs was favored over a single formal focal point. The design reads almost like a woven mosaic, with rows of tiny motifs stacked so tightly they create their own rhythm across the runner. A boldly contrasting red-and-charcoal border, worked with a repeating diamond-and-cross pattern, frames the piece with real punch against the darker purple field.
